Dr. Ian Yu

Dr. Ian Yu has practised for 25 years as a Board Certified Foot and Ankle Podiatric Surgeon (ABPS certified through to 2034) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with his wife, Dr. Heather Bui. He has surgical privileges in both the public hospital system (Providence Hospital ) and in private surgical centres (Co-founder Ambulatory Surgical Center and on staff at Cambie Surgery Center).

He holds a Masters of Science in Medical Education. His undergraduate degree, from the University of Toronto, was in sociology with special interests in the history of medicine. He was a Natural Science and Engineering Research Council Fellow completing research in Nutritional Sciences surrounding food shortages and impact on homeless and mental health.

He is the current president of the British Columbia Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Yu recently completed a Certificate Program from Harvard Medical School in Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) in Health Care Implementation. This presentation is based upon his thesis/Capstone project during his studies at Harvard.
