Colin Holyk


Colin attended the University of British Columbia graduating with a Bachelor of Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1990. He began working as a pharmacist in Vancouver at Kerrisdale Pharmacy in June 1990 and soon became co-owner alongside his pharmacist-father Michael. He is currently sharing ownership duties with pharmacists Eugene Mar and Joanne Price in this the 50th year of Kerrisdale Pharmacy.

Colin became a certified compounding pharmacist and member of the Professional Compounding Centres of America (PCCA) in 2002.  Since then, he has focused on helping patients with customized compounded medications for hormone health, pain management, dermatology, wound care, dentistry, podiatry and veterinary.

In 2015, Colin received the PCCA’s Canadian Compounding Pharmacist of the Year award.

He has been active in the community serving as president of the Kerrisdale Business Improvement Association for 5 years and is a board member of the Unipharm Medicine Centre Charitable Foundation. Colin is also the guitarist and co-songwriter of the indie-rock band Hotel Rumors which has released two albums and a number of singles on Spotify and Apple Music.
